COVID-19 Information

Health & Safety Guidelines
Following the guidance of the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County Health Department, the Indiana State Department of Health, and the Center for Disease Control, the Morris has implemented health and safety guidelines.

Anyone who is sick or experiencing fever or respiratory distress should not attend an event.

Face masks may be required by individual performances or events. Please see event page for more information.

Hand sanitizing stations, with a minimum of 60% alcohol base, are available throughout the building.

There is increased daily cleaning and sanitizing in all communal and public spaces, as well as between each event.

There are signage reminders for proper handwashing located above each sink in every restroom inside the facility, include public and backstage.

Drinking fountains are no longer available for use.

Physical Distancing
It is recommended that individuals maintain 6 feet of physical distancing between all patrons in public gathering spaces whenever possible.

Capacity Restrictions
The Morris will adhere to and operate according to the guidelines imposed by the national Center for Disease Control (CDC) and by the St. Joseph County Health Department, or by any other applicable government body as to mask requirements, social distances, and cleanliness.

Cleaning & Sanitizing Protocols
Providing a safe and clean environment for the community is the Morris’s top priority as we prepare for re-opening. Along with standard building cleaning procedures, such as restrooms, floors, windows, trash, and countertops, the Morris has increased deep cleaning to include additional “high-touch” areas both backstage and front of house.

High-touch areas will be cleaned and sanitized between each event utilizing EPA-approved disinfectants effective against COVID-19. High-touch areas include, but are not limited to, door handles, railings, elevator buttons, chair armrests, box office windows, countertops, trash receptacles, light switches, outdoor barricades, and metal detectors.

The Morris has acquired a Cloroxpro 360 electrostatic sprayer. Based on the EPA’s Emerging Viral Pathogen Guidance, this product has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus that causes COVID-19) on hard, nonporous surfaces.

The Morris has also made significant upgrades to the HVAC system to allow for increased airflow and purification.

No outside food & beverage permitted.

Pre-Show Security Screening
The Morris will continue to screen guests metal detectors and bag checks prior to entering theatre.
